Current position:

Profesor Titular de Universidad

(US equivalent Tenured Associate Professor, UK equivalent Reader)

Teaching

I have assisted with and taught numerous courses. In 2010-2011 I am handling a group of  Classical Electrodynamics (4th year undergraduate) and a computing laboratory (5th year undergraduate) for nuclear and particle physics, as well as assisting with some lectures in scattering theory, all in our physics degree.
Student questions: please refer to the Campus Virtual UCM

Attention students of Classical Electrodynamics 2010-2011
The acquisition by purchase or download of a textbook is compulsory for this class. Landau, Jackson, Griffiths, etc are acceptable choices. There are some free lectures on the internet that satisfy this requirement. Please obtain them from
 http://www.plasma.uu.se/CED/Book/

Research

I am mostly interested in Theoretical Hadron Physics,
This is a subdiscipline that shares from Particle Physics, Nuclear Physics and Quantum Field Theory.
However I keep an eye in developments in other related fields and subfields, as of late in Astrophysics and Energy Research.
You can find many of my research articles through the SPIRES database following this link
I take part on several of the research projects at Complutense, among them the one directed by Ramón Fernández Álvarez-Estrada and the one directed by Antonio Dobado. I belong to the research group on Effective Theories.

Undergraduate projects ("Trabajo de Grado")

You should contact me in the summer/fall when you are starting your 3d year, after having taken quantum physics, to see the possibilities.

Academic Activities

A lot of my time is busied with departmental duties as academic secretary.
I coorganized QNP06, the Fourth International Conference on Quarks and Nuclear Physics, in June 2006
and also a  small meeting on Quark masses and Hadron Physics, in June 2009, QH09.
Our last meeting at Complutense took place between August 30th and September 3d 2010, the
IVth International Conference on Quark Confinement and the Hadron Spectrum, qchs09. We are currently editing the proceedings book.
I also support the series of seminars of  Theoretical Physics.

 Collaborators and students

* Some collaborators in my generation I had the pleasure to learn from
* My more senior mentors these years
* Here are some more  junior people and students I tried to help along the way
