F. Ruiz is part of UCM's Strings and fields research group. In the past he has worked on thermal field theory, cosmic strings in general relativity and string theory, topological field theory, and regularization and renormalization of gauge theories. His current research is on noncommutative field theory and D-branes. His last publications include
