1. ERE 2011 VENUE

The meeting will take place at the facilities of the Facultad de Matemáticas and Físicas  at Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

- Morning plenary sessions will be held at the Mathematical Sciences building (“Facultad de Ciencias Matemáticas”). Registration desk will be located here in the basement level.
- Just opposite this building, separated by the “Parque de Ciencias”, is the Physical Sciences building (“Facultad de Ciencias Físicas”) where the afternoon parallel sessions will take place.

To get to the conference venue and to return to your hotels in the afternoon, we recommend the use of public transportation, underground or city bus, although there is always the possibility of a nice walk.
Driving directions (discouraged due to parking space).

Underground:  (Recommended) From any metro station change to line 6 "grey" and get out at "Ciudad Universitaria". From the Ciudad Universitaria metro station you can also walk (short ,12'), come out to the street (Avenida Complutense) and walk to your right, or take a bus (G, U, 82 or 132, just 2').

City bus:  Use lines 82 and 132 or G. All these lines leave you  between 50 and 200 mts away from the entrance of the Physics Department (see map below). To catch them you have to walk to the bus stop at the northwest corner of the Moncloa square, next to the round town hall building and a metro entrance.

2. DRIVING DIRECTIONS

If you drive, parking at the university is free, finding a free place is possible but may take a few minutes depending on the student load. To reach us follow the reddish "Ciudad Universitaria" signs.

  • From downtown: drive along Calle de la Princesa to Moncloa, pass under the Arch and immediately take the right lane to avoid driving along A-6. The university will be on your right. You can also reach this point from the Islas Filipinas-Cea Bermudez axis. Make a right at the roundabout and follow the street (Avda. Complutense) about a kilometer. When you start driving around Paraninfo, a park/sports field, the science buildings will be on your right. Park then.

  • If you are driving from Reina Victoria/Cuatro Caminos, you will descend the hill to reach Paraninfo in perpendicular to Avda. Complutense. You will have to make a right immediately after the Geology building.

  • From the beltlines M30-M40, drive to A-6 and take it towards the city. Pass Veterinary and take the exit (sharp curve) to Palacio de la Moncloa. Drive uphill, take a right when your street ends and you will reach Paraninfo. Finally make a left there (you need to roundabout to your right).
